Anticipating that the oil generated from the Silurian aged Dadaş Formation might have migrated and accumulated in the Ordovician aged Bedinan Formation sandstones, we have drilled exploration wells to test the target structures. Within this scope, 40 API oil was discovered in the exploration wells Çalıktepe-1 (2010), Batı Çalıktepe-1 (2014) and Güney Çalıktepe-1 (2016). Çalıktepe-2 (2011), Batı Çalıktepe-2 (2014), Batı Çalıktepe-3 (2015), Güney Çalıktepe-2 (2016), Güney Çalıktepe-3 (2017) evaluation wells have been drilled in order to determine the boundaries of the deposit and to increase the production volume. The total daily production from the Batı Çalıktepe and Güney Çalıktepe oil fields is around 1.200 barrels per day. The Çalıktepe oil field has been temporarily abandoned to be evaluated later on. In the light of the well data gathered from wells within the licensed territory and in its vicinity, we have determined new prospects to be tested in the forthcoming years.
