The total installed capacity of the Mart-3 Combined Cycle Power Plant, whose construction was initiated by Çalık Enerji on July 1, 2015 in the city of Mary in the Mary province of Turkmenistan, is going to be 1.574 MW.
The engineering-related activities in the Mary-3, which is the largest Combined Cycle Power Plant built in Turkmenistan recently, are on-going at a high speed. The general layout of the power plant is approved and the main equipment is purchased, while the pouring of the mass concrete of the GT-1 and GT-2 is complete.
There are 4 9FA gas turbines and its auxiliary equipment, 4 waste heat boilers, 2 steam turbines, auxiliary systems (boiler, RMS, compressor building, WTP, RMS), switchyards of 110-220-500 kV, 3 feeders of 500 kV and 20 feeders of 220 kV present within the project.
The first energy generation (2xGT) is planned to take place on August 30, 2017, while the energy generation for 4XGT + 2ST is projected to take place on September 30, 2018. Jetgrout works are 92% complete, while the works for the ST building is about to come to an end. The constructions of the 220 kV switchyard, the electricity building and the relay building have been initiated. Field mobilization works are complete and the field is now suitable for the use of staff. The current number of staff on the field is 389 (Turkish and local), however this number projected to increase up to 1200 in June 2017.
The Mary-3 Combined Cycle Power Plant is planned to start-up and start serving for the people of Turkmenistan by the end of the year 2018. We would like to thank all personnel that contributed in this process for their efforts.
