Çalık Enerji and Gap İnşaat, two affiliates of Çalık Holding, were awarded at the Evaluation Meeting for Overseas Contracting and Technical Consultancy Sector and Award Ceremony attended by the Prime Minister Erdoğan. During the ceremony in Ankara, hosted by the Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan, Çalık Holding's Chairman Ahmet Çalık received the awards from the Prime Minister Erdoğan. Çalık Enerji was ranked the 129th contracting company of the world in the ENR's list for the year 2012. The Company climbed up to the 111th rank in the list as of 2013. Gap İnşaat was granted with an award for "Overseas Contracting Services".
I'm Satisfied with Overseas Operations of Contractors
Expressing his satisfaction with the investments of Turkish contractors in countries he visited, Erdoğan said: "We have recently seen operations performed by some Turkish companies in Turkmenistan. We attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Turkmenbasi Port project worth USD 1,5 billion, along with Mr. Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov. The completed and ongoing operations in Turkmenistan make us proud".
The Prime Minister Erdoğan presented awards to 38 contracting and 4 technical consultancy companies which were ranked among the top 250 contracting companies of the world by Engineering News Record (ENR) for the year 2013.
