Description of Project

    Kızkayası Dam and HPP Project is a power storage and generation plant with installed capacity of 116 MW on Brook of Emet in Mustafakemalpaşa, Bursa. The project has the capacity to generate 314 GWh/year of electricity with 160 m gross head. Çalık Energy Power Generation and Mining Inc., obtained the power generation li​​cense from EMRA in the first quarter of 2009 for 49 years. It will be Turkey's highest Concrete-Face Rock Fill Dam (CFRD) as it rests on a 170 m-long wall off the foundation. It will be also the second highest CFRD of Europe.
