Tedzani-4 Hydroelectric Power Plant Project located in Malawi's Tedzani Region which is undertaken by Çalık Enerji has been initiated with a formal ceremony held today. Malawi Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr. Aggrey Masi and Japanese Embassy of Malawi Mr. Kae Yanagisawa as well as many government agencies and institutions have participated to the sod-turning ceremony of the project which is funded by the Japanese Government.
With Tedzani - 4 HPP Project in Tedzani region which is 70 km to Malawi's second biggest city Blantyre, it is planned to increase the total installed capacity of Hydroelectric Power Plants No. 1, 2 and 3 by 18 MW. Çalık Enerji has undertaken construction of all water structures and power plant house as well as procurement and installation of hydromechanical and electromechanical equipment of the project as part of the EPC contract.
