Çalık Enerji is kicking off the construction in the Hiswa region, located approximately 10 km west of the center of the city of Aden in Yemen of a brand new power plant project to have a 60 MW power generation capacity.
After two projects successfully constructed in Iraq by Çalık Eneji, the "60 MW Aden Fast-Track Mobile Power Plant" will be the third one in the Middle East and will be constructed next to the existing "Hiswa Power Plant."
2 GE TM2500 Mobile Fast Track turbines will be used in the project to be constructed to meet the ever-increasing power need of the Aden region in Yemen. All turn-key engineering, supply, EPC and commissioning works have been undertaken by Çalık Enerji. The signing ceremony of the project, which is going to be built in only 90 days, was held in Doha on December 7, 2016 with the participation of the representatives from Qatar Development Fund and the Public Electricity Corporation of Yemen and executives of Çalık Enerji. The project is of capital importance since it is the first agreement made by Çalık Enerji in the field of mobile power plant and it is the first project of Çalık Enerji in Yemen.
