PROJECT FOR IMPROVEMENT OF POWER INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE CITY OF ASHKHABAD LAUNCHED WITH A CEREMONY


​The facilities that were completed by Çalık Enerji within the project to strengthen the energy infrastructure of the city of Ashkhabad of Turkmenistan, were launched with a grand ceremony held at "Paytagt Control Center", located at the city center.

Opened by the President of Turkmenistan, Mr. Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedow, the ceremony was attended by the Deputy Presidents of Turkmenistan, the Governor of Ashkhabad, the Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan and other Ministers, as well as the Chairman of Çalık Holding, Mr. Ahmet Çalık, Board Member and the General Manager at Çalik Enerji, Mr. Osman Saim Dinç, the President of General Electric for Western Europe and North Africa  Mr. Ricardo Cordoba, senior executives from Çalık Enerji and many invitees.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. President pointed out the important role of electric energy in the upcoming years for the country's development and welfare and emphasized that all reforms planned in this context were being adopted one by one and thanked Çalık Enerji personnel for their hard work for the project, and the Chairman of Çalık Holding, Mr. Ahmet Çalık for his efforts in this scope.

Taking the floor after the speech of Mr. President, Mr. Ricardo Cordoba highlighted the importance of all energy-related projects they have implemented with Çalık Enerji in Turkmenistan and pointed out that they are ready to provide services for the projects to be planned in the future under the leadership of Mr. President and extended his thanks.

Taking the floor after the speech of Mr. Ricardo Cordoba,  Mr. Ahmet Çalık, Chairman of Çalık Holding, expressed his wish that the facilities that were launched within the project that further strengthen the energy infrastructure of Ashkhabad, which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, would yield to fruitful outcomes for the people of Turkmenistan.  Mr. Çalık remarked that they are ready to continue to provide services in the future and extended his thanks to Mr. President for his trust in Çalık Enerji.

Being invited to the floor, the speakers extended their wish that this project, which was launched before the Day of Independence of Turkmenistan, would lead to fruitful outcome for the people of Turkmenistan and the Homeland and found the opportunity to congratulate the people of Turkmenistan and Mr. President on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan with their warmest wishes.

In addition, 4 international awards and certificates for our project were presented to the Ministry of Energy. 

The America-based "Environmental Health Trust Certificate"  and "Environmental Impact Award" was presented by the Founder and European Director of the Organization Dr. Annie Sasco, "the Switzerland Liechtenstein University Certificate" and "Stable and Continious Energy Award" was presented by the Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Economy of Liechtenstein Assoc. Prof. Atilla Dinçer and "the Austrian Energy Institute Certificate", "Energy Efficiency Award", the European Fund of International Relations Certificate", and the "Energy Sustainability Award" was presented by the Chairman of the European Fund of International Relations and Faculty Member at Vienna University Prof. Leopold Kaiblinger to the Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan in the presence of Mr. President. 

After the completion of the opening ceremony of the AST project, the "Çalık Holding Ashkhabad Headquarters" was opened by Mr. President. After visiting the offices in the new building, Mr. President was briefed by the executive personnel regarding the training efforts in the hall that was built by General Electric and Çalık Enerji to serve Turkmen students, who receive education in the field of energy. The opening ceremony finalized after bilateral meetings.
