The mechanical assembly of the 254 MW "Watan Power Plant", being constructed by Çalık Enerji in the city of Beýik Türkmenbaşy in the Lebap Region of Turkmenistan, is complete whereas the commissioning works continue in full speed.
The first turbine in the Project was put onto base on December 5, 2015 and its mechanical assembly was completed in a very short period of 102 days. On March 16, 2016, when the General Manager Mr. Osman Saim Dinç, EPC and HR Director Mr. Yıldıray Tınar and Procurement and Logistics Director Mr. Orhan Orhon of Çalık Enerji paid a visit to the field, Çalık Enerji was awarded a "Mechanical Completion Certificate" by the employer.
An important threshold in the Project is passed at this point and Çalık Enerji's aim is to do the first fire and then synchronization as soon as possible.
Watan Project is the most challenging project of Çalık Enerji in Turkmenistan due to its location and route. Against all difficult conditions, Çalık Enerji aims to complete the project even before the date of contract and place it among the other successful projects implemented by Çalık Enerji.
