Ahal-2 power plant with 252,2 Megawatt power, the construction of which was kicked off on October 24, 2013, began to generate electricity on November 28, 2014.
As a part of the Project, 4 months after the turbines were mounted, mechanical integration was fulfilled and the turbines were powered in only 5 months.
By generating approximately 2,25 billion kw/h annually, two tribunes contribute to Turkmenistan's electrical system.
Having completed the power plant with GE LM 6000 turbines of 150 MW in the same region, Çalık Energy completed the construction of plants with the installed capacity of 400 MW.
The official launch of Ahal 2 plant will take place on December 20, 2014 as a part of a ceremony.
